The correction program helps to improve the quality of life.
How does this happen?
First, a child experiencing learning difficulties accumulates a "baggage" of negative emotions. And then, it has a great effect on many areas of a person’s life. This baggage is often not realized by its "carrier" and manifests itself in a lack of motivation, lack of strength, procrastination, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, negative attitudes, and fatigue.
You must have come across a situation where a child does not want to go to school, resists or just cries. These are not just whims, there are reasons for everything. And it's best not to ignore them.
For example, there might be a conversation like this between a parent and a child. In brackets is written what the child may mean, and what message the parent's answer carries.
- School is boring! (At school, it’s not clear to me and therefore I’m not interested, I don’t see any point in what I’m doing, why do I need all this?)
- School shouldn't be fun, study is not a circus, it's a serious process! Go and study! Moreover, your school is the best and teachers try to make learning interesting... (You don't need to waste time looking for the meaning of what you are doing, just memorize information. Get used to spending your life on meaningless actions and remembering (doing) unnecessary. )
- I do not want to go to school! (It’s difficult for me at school, assignments are difficult for me, it’s difficult for me to read, to keep my attention, others can do it, but I don’t, I don’t feel smart, I’m bad!)
School education is compulsory for everyone! If I don't take you to school, we might have problems with social services. You have friends at school - you play at recess ... (It's okay to feel bad, you don't need to understand the problem, let it all go by itself. Suffering is the norm of life.)
- Can I not go to school today? (I am endlessly tired from excessive efforts to understand school material and I need rest to recuperate, time to process information.)
- You will miss important topics and then you yourself will suffer from it. Relax on the weekend. (Work hard - that's ok. Don't listen to yourself.)
- The school is bad! (I don’t read well, I make mistakes, I get distracted, I can’t concentrate, the teacher makes me read in front of everyone, she asks me, but I don’t know the answer, she endlessly reprimands me, my classmates laugh at me...)
- What's wrong with school? The teacher says that everything is fine with you, you have friends, you have fun playing with them at breaks. And put more effort into your studies and the result will be better! (Don't pay attention when you feel bad. Don't pay attention to your reactions. There are more authoritative people who know what's good for you. You deserve to be laughed at. Humiliation is normal.)
I find it difficult to focus and remember information. (I don't know how to manage my attention. Imagination constantly distracts me. As a result, I don't hear half of the lesson. It's hard for me to remember incomprehensible information.)
- Try and everything will work out! Do not be lazy! (If something doesn't work out, keep doing it, don't change your strategy, just multiply your efforts. Don't ask for help. You're just lazy, fight your laziness.)
Let's summarize the baggage of emotions received over the long, long school years:
You don't have to spend time looking for the meaning of what you are doing, just memorize the information. Get used to spending your life on meaningless actions and remembering (doing) unnecessary things. It's okay to feel bad, you don't need to figure out the problem, let it all take its course. Suffering is the norm. Work hard, that's ok. Don't listen to yourself. You don't have to pay attention when you feel bad. Pay no attention to your reactions. There are more authoritative people who know what is good for you. You deserve to be laughed at. Humiliation is okay. If something doesn't work out, keep doing it, don't change your strategy, just multiply your efforts. Don't ask for help. You're just lazy, fight your laziness.
Impressive? Responding?
Programs for the correction of dyslexia and ADD according to the author's method of Ronald Davis help to improve the process of reading and attention management. They teach effective memory techniques, given the incredible creativity of people with dyslexia and ADD. The program offers techniques for monitoring one's state and understanding of the processes occurring inside, focusing on these processes. Homework after the program - helps to create favorable conditions for easy focus and understanding.
And then study becomes conscious and interesting, and the process of learning something new becomes a lifelong hobby.
Thus, the quality of a person’s life improves, the emotional baggage goes away, opening up a place for new feelings and emotions, such as faith in oneself, one’s strength, pleasure from the process.
